Influenced by rock, jazz, and classical, Jerika Hayes' music tends to err on the side of indefinable, and can be characterized by honestly crafted lyrics and a touch of otherworldliness. After completing her degree in Jazz Studies, she pursued her own music more seriously— writing, recording, performing across the US and at several small festivals. Her most recent work, Poisoned Mouse, is an EP featuring her signature piano arrangements and lush horns, is an exploration of anger, hope, disillusionment and love. Hayes’ other works include Songs For Sad Girls (2016) and her first full-length album, Sower (2017).
